PROJECT: PERSON OF INTEREST TREVOR BOTHA

URGENT UPDATE

NOTICE TO

THE PUBLIC!

SSS reiterates the importance of extensive vetting and comprehensive research before committing to any financial transaction.

Our client requested a quotation for a galvanised clear-view steel fence and its installation from Trevor Botha of TB Construction. On 8 June 2023, our client received and accepted the quotation. They were asked to pay 80% of the total amount quoted as a deposit, which came to R31,200.00 out of a total of R39,000.00.

Our client tried to get in touch with Mr Botha numerous times, from 19 June 2023 to 18 November 2023, in an effort to either have the fence they had ordered installed or to get their deposit refunded.

We urge Mr Botha to take immediate
action and refund the money owed to our client, without any further delay.

PROJECT: TO TAP OR NOT TO TAP

URGENT UPDATE

NOTICE TO

THE PUBLIC!

In an age where convenience often trumps caution, pausing and considering the potential
risks lurking behind seemingly innocuous actions is crucial.

As highlighted by security
expert Mr Mike Bolhuis, one such action is handing over your debit or credit card to shopkeepers during transactions.

The convenience of tapping a card for payment has undoubtedly revolutionised how we handle our finances. However, this ease of use comes with vulnerabilities,
particularly concerning the security of our sensitive card information.

Specialised Security Services emphasises a critical point: when you hand over your card to a shopkeeper, you unwittingly expose crucial details, including the CCV number on the back of your card. With access to your card number and other pertinent account details, nefarious individuals can easily perpetrate fraudulent activities. Adding another layer of concern is the prevalence of surveillance cameras at cash points.

In light of these potential threats, we strongly recommend a more secure approach: activating the tap option on your card while ensuring that you always input a PIN for verification. This simple yet effective measure adds a barrier against unauthorised access, significantly reducing the likelihood of falling victim to fraud.

PROJECT: CHILD PORNOGRAPHY AND PHOTO MANIPULATION

URGENT UPDATE

NOTICE TO

THE PUBLIC!

Specialised Security Services was
recently contacted by the concerned
parents of a 15-year-old girl who
fell victim to photo manipulation
by a group of boys in her age group.

By the time the girl and her parents
were made aware of what was going on, the situation had escalated from photo manipulation to extortion, where the girl was being blackmailed into sending explicit photos of herself to an unknown party on social media.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR CHILDREN ON SOCIAL MEDIA:
• Always report unsolicited conversations or content on social
media to your parents.
• Avoid posting photos of yourself on social media.
• Avoid entering adult chat sites.
• Never engage in conversation with unidentified parties on social media.
• When posting photos on social media, make sure that the
background content does not reveal personal information about
yourself, such as your address, contact information, personal
credentials, etc.
• Keep a close friend circle on social media.
• Only include people you know and trust.
• Do not take part in the sharing or distributing of explicit content.
• Think before you do and remember that the internet is permanent.
• Clean up your phone of any unwanted content, keep it clean
and keep the content protected.

PROJECT: PROTECTING PERSONAL INFORMATION WHEN NAVIGATING THE INTERNET

URGENT UPDATE

NOTICE TO

THE PUBLIC!

Specialised Security Services continuously repeats our concern regarding personal safety when navigating the internet. It might seem redundant for knowledgeable members of the public, however the number of cases we
receive validates yet another confirmation of safety protocols.

The internet connects us to a vast global community, providing unparalleled access to services and information.

However, it is essential to remember that navigating the internet requires the same level of caution as any large urban environment. Protecting your personal information and
financial resources from theft, and ransom demands is crucial
and requires you to exercise common sense and implement
technological safeguards.

Proper safety measures allow you
to surf, shop, play, and work online confidently and enjoy
peace of mind rather than anxiety.

PROJECT: THE WATER OR TANKER MAFIA

URGENT UPDATE

NOTICE TO

THE PUBLIC!

South Africa’s infrastructure has been teetering on the verge of collapse. Our water supply is a serious concern.

Rand Water, which supplies household water to Gauteng, has directly attributed the water shortage crisis to municipal mismanagement and inadequate
capacity. The issue is the lack of municipal action
to address the deteriorating water
infrastructure.

The basic services that
people of South Africa are entitled to receive – access to clean water, sanitation, electricity, refuse
removal services, public transport and good roads – cannot be delivered without adequate
infrastructure.

The National Treasury has decided to
address municipalities such as Tshwane and Johannesburg by notifying both municipalities of its
intention to cut a combined R1.83bn for grants, signalling that it is getting tough on errant municipalities.

This is a national crisis exasperated by continued loadshedding. Mismanagement has created a breeding ground for criminals,
including the Water or Tanker Mafia.
As always, crime begets crime.
This vicious cycle of inefficiency, mismanagement, corruption, and theft is increasing at an exponential rate.

PROJECT: CRYPTO GURUS

NOTICE TO

THE PUBLIC!

HOW TO AVOID
CRYPTO INVESTMENT SCAMS IN
THE DIGITAL AGE

The rapid rise of cryptocurrency has opened doors to both opportunity and exploitation.

While the potential for significant returns is undeniable, the decentralised nature of the market also creates fertile ground for bad actors.

One such threat is the “Crypto Guru”—a seemingly authoritative online personality promising a shortcut to crypto riches.
Crypto Gurus typically cultivate an image of expertise. They leverage social media platforms like YouTube, Telegram, Twitter, TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram to advertise
content overflowing with technical jargon, market predictions, and testimonials. This facade of knowledge stimulates trust and
a sense of community, making them appear credible to those new to the crypto world.

The scam unfolds in a calculated manner. Once trust is established, the Guru subtly shifts focus towards specific cryptocurrencies. They will claim these coins’ supposedly
hidden potential or limited availability, creating a “pump” (a surge in demand that drives up the price). This orchestrated hype often
attracts a significant following,
further inflating the bubble.

PROJECT: BIOMETRIC AUTHENTICATION

NOTICE TO

THE PUBLIC!

Biometric Authentication is a security measure that relies on unique physical or behavioural characteristics to identify individuals.

Biometric authentication systems
can identify a person’s facial features, fingerprints, voice, and even DNA.

These unique traits are stored in
a database, and when an individual
tries to access a system or data,
their biometric information is compared with the information in the database.

Biometric Authentication provides a higher level of security and convenience than traditional authentication methods. However,
it also has disadvantages, such as privacy concerns, false positives, and high costs.

Therefore, it is essential to carefully
consider the advantages and disadvantages of Biometric Authentication before
implementing it in any system or application.

PROJECT: CARD SKIMMING ON THE INCREASE IN SOUTH AFRICA

NOTICE TO

THE PUBLIC!

SSS reminds everyone to be vigilant when making payments. Please refer to a previous project highlighting this danger:
https://mikebh.link/L5yWtC

Card skimming is a form of theft in which criminals use small devices called skimmers to illegally collect data from the magnetic strip of a credit or debit card.

These skimming devices are often
discreetly installed on legitimate
card readers, such as ATMs, gas station pumps, or point-of-sale terminals. When a card is swiped or inserted into the compromised device, the skimmer captures the card’s magnetic strip data,
including the card number, expiration date,
and sometimes even the cardholder’s name.

By staying vigilant and taking proactive measures to protect your card information, you can reduce the risk of being a victim of card skimming and safeguard
your financial security.

PROJECT: THE IMPORTANCE OF THOROUGH VETTING

NOTICE TO

THE PUBLIC!

SSS reiterates the importance of extensive vetting and comprehensive research before committing to any financial transaction.

This must be done before paying a
deposit for articles or services.
Please refer to the attached project,
a current case assigned to SSS:
https://mikebh.link/JMFGiP

Whether engaging with contractors,
service providers, or other professionals, take the time to conduct due diligence.

This process involves scrutinising the credentials, reputation, and track record of the service provider, as well as thoroughly reviewing the terms and conditions of the agreement.

The importance of thorough vetting before paying for services cannot be overstated. It empowers individuals to make informed decisions, reduces the likelihood of adverse outcomes, and establishes a foundation for a successful and mutually beneficial
business relationship.

PROJECT: CORRUPTION IN SOUTH AFRICA

NOTICE TO

THE PUBLIC!

The 2023 Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) shows that corruption is thriving across the world.

The CPI ranks 180 countries and territories around the globe by their perceived levels of public sector corruption, scoring on a scale of 0 (highly corrupt) to 100 (very clean). Denmark maintains its position as the least corrupt country with a score of 90, while Somalia tops the list as the most corrupt with a score of 11.

South Africa rates a 41 on this
scale, and our country’s CPI score has markedly declined over the past five years.

Corruption generally refers to the abuse of entrusted power for personal gain or to gain
an undue advantage.

It involves dishonest or unethical conduct by individuals, often in positions of authority,
who use their influence for personal benefit, leading to a deviation from the proper or fair course of action.

PROJECT: THE DANGERS LURKING IN OLD CELL PHONES - PROTECTING YOUR DATA

NOTICE TO

THE PUBLIC!

In our fast-paced digital age, upgrading to the latest cell phone model has become a routine.

But what happens to our old devices once they’re replaced? Many end up forgotten in drawers, sold second-hand, or worse, discarded without a second thought.

However, these seemingly harmless actions can pose significant dangers, especially when old cell phones fall into the wrong hands –
the hands of cybercriminals.

By following safe disposal practices and taking proactive steps to protect your personal data, you can mitigate the risks of cybercrime and safeguard your digital identity.

Remember, your data’s security is in

PROJECT: EXOTIC PETS IN SOUTH AFRICA

NOTICE TO

THE PUBLIC!

Specialised Security Services receives numerous requests for intervention in cases where exotic pets are no longer wanted, or have been neglected, abused, or put in danger.

It is common for people to purchase
exotic animals on impulse, without
considering the impact it will have
on both the animals themselves and the households responsible for their care.

It is imperative to consider the decision before bringing an exotic pet into your home, as the temptation of having a unique
creature can be alluring.

Responsible ownership demands
comprehensive deliberation and preparation.

Responsible ownership not only involves adherence to legal requirements but also a
commitment to meeting the unique needs of these creatures while ensuring their well-being and the preservation of local ecosystems.

PROJECT: BUSINESS SABOTAGE

NOTICE TO

THE PUBLIC!

A recent study has shown that
increasingly more South African
companies experience business sabotage at least once every 24 months.

How is Business Sabotage Defined?

Business sabotage occurs when
an individual commits a specific act of harm to a company. On hearing the term “business sabotage”, one might be inclined to think of it as an act committed by someone from outside the business, like a
competitor. However, in most cases,
acts of business sabotage are initiated by employees from within a business.

SSS Specialist Investigators can help with employee sabotage situations.

SSS will record all findings and collate them into a comprehensive, detailed report that is fully supported by documentary
evidence and is admissible in court.

It is our goal to provide you with
everything you need to prove and
pursue your case – either in a civil
matter or prosecuted as a crime.
This can go a long way to ensuring
that your trust in other employees
remains unshaken by the actions of
the culprit, which means your
business can get back on track.

PROJECT: SOUTH AFRICAN GANGS

NOTICE TO

THE PUBLIC!

South Africa has faced challenges related to gang activity, particularly in urban areas where socio-economic factors, unemployment, and inequality contribute to the formation and perpetuation of gangs.

Urban centres are often battlegrounds for gang wars, with drug trade, territorial disputes, and violence being commonplace.

These profoundly affect community life and safety. Cities like Cape Town are significantly affected, seeing South Africa occupy the top 5 most dangerous cities in Africa.

It is important to recognise that not all community members support or protect gangs, and many individuals and organisations actively work to address the root causes of gang involvement.

Community-based initiatives, social
development programs, and collaboration between law enforcement and communities
are essential components of efforts to break the cycle of gang-related
issues in South Africa.

PROJECT: THE UNRELENTING STRUGGLE IN SOUTH AFRICA - UNEMPLOYMENT

NOTICE TO

THE PUBLIC!

Specialised Security Services is fully committed to addressing the pressing issue of increasing crime rates in South Africa. As a leading security service provider, we recognise that one of the major contributing factors to this problem is the alarmingly high unemployment rate in the country. Therefore, we are taking a proactive approach to highlight this complex issue and implementing measures to ensure the safety and security of our clients and their properties.

South Africa finds itself grappling with an escalating unemployment crisis, emerging as the global leader in joblessness.

The recently released data for the fourth quarter of 2023 paints a grim picture, with 11.6 million South Africans now unemployed,
marking a disturbing trajectory.

It is important to understand the multifaceted factors contributing to South Africa’s soaring unemployment rates and to delve into the urgent need for strategic interventions to reverse this perilous trend.

PROJECT: SOUTH AFRICAN BANKS AND ACCOUNTABILITY

NOTICE TO

THE PUBLIC!

Recent events have underscored the
urgent need for accountability and
robust security measures within

By uniting in our demand for
accountability, we can effect
meaningful change that prioritises the safety and welfare of all banking customers.

PROJECT: THE DANGERS OF DRINK SPIKING

NOTICE TO

PUBLIC!

“Spiking drinks” refers to the act of
adding substances, typically drugs or
alcohol, to someone’s beverage
without their knowledge or consent.
This can occur in social settings, parties, or bars and is often done with the intention of incapacitating or taking advantage of the person who consumes the spiked drink.

The substances used for spiking can
include illicit drugs, sedatives,
date rape drugs, or even additional
amounts of alcohol.

Remember that being vigilant and proactive can significantly reduce the risk of falling victim to drink spiking.

If you suspect someone has been a victim, seek medical attention and report the incident
to the appropriate authorities.

Drink spiking is illegal and goes hand in hand with rape, abuse, sexual assault and violence.

Unfortunately, it is often seen as a minor offence rather than a serious violation of a person’s safety.

PROJECT: SAFEGUARDING CHILDREN IN THE AGE OF CELL PHONES

NOTICE TO

PUBLIC!

Children are vulnerable to online predators who may exploit
their innocence.
Educating children about safe online behaviour, not sharing
personal information, and avoiding contact with strangers is
crucial. Cyberbullying is another risk.
Parents should monitor their children’s online interactions and
encourage open communication.

Geotagged photos or social media posts can reveal a child’s
location. Parents should disable geotagging features and discuss privacy settings with their children.

Children may accidentally stumble upon inappropriate content,
including violence, explicit material, or harmful ideologies.
Parental controls and age-appropriate filters can help mitigate
this risk.

If you are concerned that your child’s
cell phone has been compromised,
contact Mr Bolhuis immediately.

The SSS Specialist Cyberteam is
at the forefront of new technological
innovation and will be able to safeguard and monitor your child’s phone.

PROJECT: EMAIL INTERCEPT SCAMS ON THE RISE

NOTICE TO

PUBLIC!

Increasingly more businesses are falling victim to the “man in the middle” email intercept attacks that have been on the rise over the past few years.

Email interception is not only a simple matter of someone
gaining access to your email login details, and then using your
email account to contact someone else, it is far more complex.

Think of email interception as having a one-on-one conversation with someone employing a third party to do the actual speaking whilst parties 1 and 2 write down what
message party 3 should deliver to the other party.

This sounds like a game we used to play as children, the only difference is that in these instances, party 3 is a criminal with malicious plans of delivering his own version of the message to the other two parties.

If you are concerned that your electronic devices have been compromised,
contact Mr Bolhuis immediately.

The SSS Specialist Cyberteam are
at the forefront of new technological innovations and will be able to safeguard and monitor them.

Born on February 11, 1980, Rudi has been operating under the guise of various investment companies, luring unsuspecting
victims into fraudulent schemes with promises of lucrative returns.

Our investigation, which started in October 2023, unequivocally
identified Mr De Meyer as the mastermind behind these
deceptive “investment opportunities.”

When confronted by the SSS cyberteam, Rudi admitted to
misappropriating funds from our clients and pledged to repay
every cent.

His plea for leniency and appeals to humanity fell flat when he
failed to meet our conditions.

WE URGE THE PUBLIC TO REMAIN VIGILANT!

PROJECT: SEXTORTION OF MINORS

NOTICE TO

PUBLIC!

URGENT WARNING TO
PARENTS:
Many parents believe that their children will not fall victim to this serious crime.

Sexual extortion, or “sextortion”,
occurs when an individual is coerced
into providing money or sexual images through a threat to release sexual or nude photos or videos of them online.

Parents should not underestimate the age at which children become vulnerable, as many are as young as 8.

Sextortion does not discriminate and it can affect any child or young person, whether a boy or a girl, from any ethnic or socioeconomic group.

The only common denominator
these children share is internet access.

Educating children about online safety has never been more crucial.

If you suspect your child’s devices have been compromised or that your child might have become a victim of sextortion, contact
Mr Bolhuis immediately.

Individuals must
understand the gravity of making
false reports and the impact
it has on society.

PROJECT: EMPLOYING TRUSTWORTHY WORKERS

NOTICE TO

PUBLIC!

Hiring trustworthy cleaners, gardeners, or other service providers for your home is crucial to ensure a safe and reliable environment.

Homeowners have been urged to vet
anyone working on their property as
it is these workers who form the first vital line of defence in the
fight against crime. Remember that building a relationship with trustworthy service providers takes time, and it is essential to be diligent in the hiring process to ensure the safety and security of
your home.

Although thorough vetting might
seem to be a time-consuming effort, many cases of break-ins and house robberies occur as a result of inside information being shared
with criminals.

IT IS THEREFORE CRITICAL TO APPOINT PEOPLE WHOM YOU CAN TRUST WITH YOUR OWN LIFE AND THE LIVES OF YOUR FAMILY.

PROJECT: MISSING PERSON GERT JACOBUS MINNIE

NOTICE TO

PUBLIC!

Specialised Security Services requests the help of the public to send us information regarding his whereabouts.

Gert Minnie has made himself guilty
of not only misrepresentation but
also defeating the ends of justice, by
disappearing to take full benefit of millions of rands in fraudulent transactions.

It has happened previously and will
undoubtedly occur again when our
organisation is appointed to find a missing person, and we soon realise that this missing
person is responsible for their own
disappearance.

After further investigation,
the causes become clear:
financial, relationship or criminal
activities/dealings.

In this specific case, SSS is convinced that this specific missing person committed
misrepresentation and lied to his entire family, relatives, the public and the authorities and planned his own “escape”.

NOTICE TO

PUBLIC!

As the popularity of vacation rentals surges, so does the prevalence of scams targeting eager travellers seeking accommodation.

These scams can take various forms,
ranging from fake listings and misrepresented properties to non-existent rentals and phishing schemes.

The allure of picturesque destinations combined with the anonymity afforded by
online transactions creates an ideal breeding ground for deceptive practices.

It is imperative for travellers to exercise caution, conduct thorough research, and employ robust verification measures to ensure that their dream vacation does not turn into a nightmare of financial loss and
disappointment.

Mias Schreuder is one of many holiday scammers operating through a vacation rental advertisement on the Rustenburg Koop en Verkoop’s Facebook page.

PROJECT: SEXUAL GROOMING OF MINORS

WARNING TO

PUBLIC!

Sexual grooming of minors refers to the process by which an adult establishes a relationship with a minor to gain their trust for the purpose of sexual exploitation or abuse.

This often occurs on various social media platforms where communication is facilitated, making it crucial for parents to be aware and take steps to safeguard their children

If you notice any of these signs or have concerns about your child’s online interactions, it’s crucial to maintain open communication. Talk to your child about their online experiences and promptly address any discomfort or suspicion. If you suspect grooming, report it to law enforcement and the platform where the communication occurs.

Do not hesitate to contact Mr Mike Bolhuis if you have any concerns regarding your child’s online interactions.

PROJECT: THE PHYSICAL IMPACT OF EXTENDED SCREEN TIME ON CHILDREN

NOTICE TO

PUBLIC!

Experts in psychology, neuroscience, and education study our senses (sight, hearing, touch, taste, smell, and other less-known ones like balance and body awareness). Their focus is to understand how what we sense shapes our behaviour.

Sensory behavioural implications refer to our senses’ effects on our behaviour. People can react differently to the same sensory experience, leading to a wide variety of behaviours based on individual sensitivities and preferences

New research has again confirmed Specialised Security Services’ continuous plea to parents to control their children’s screen time. The research suggests that young children exposed to prolonged hours of screen time from an early age may develop unusual behaviours related to their senses.

These children might seem uninterested in regular activities, crave more excitement, or are easily upset by things like loud noises or bright colours.

PROJECT: BOASTING AND POSTING ON SOCIAL MEDIA

WARNING TO

PUBLIC!

Many parents want to post the very first schooldays of their child, or the brand-new luxury vehicle or the dream holiday.

However there are several reasons why some parents choose not to post photos of their children, homes, or luxury vehicles on social media, and these concerns generally revolve around privacy, safety, and security.

While these concerns do not apply universally, as some families choose to share their lives online responsibly, it is essential for parents to be aware of the potential risks and make informed decisions about what they share on social media.

Implementing strict privacy settings, being mindful of the content shared, and respecting the privacy of children are crucial considerations in this digital age.

PUBLIC!

Grade 8 is a milestone for every teenager. It is also daunting in many ways and bullying has an emotional and psychological impact on young people.

SSS has posted several projects in the past to forewarn parents to be informed and aware of bullying and its impact on children.

Early intervention and support can help reduce the long-term impact on their neurological and mental well-being.

Some adults, parents, and teachers might trivialise the impact of bullying on especially young children but when empirical evidence shows the actual harm it does, it becomes critical to take responsibility and address such behaviour.

PROJECT: THE ALARMING AND RELENTLESS THEFT OF POLICE FIREARMS

WARNING TO THE

PUBLIC!

The recent theft of 357 firearms designated as evidence from police SAP 13 storage chambers has raised significant questions about the safety and security of these crucial pieces of evidence.

This is an issue that Specialised Security Services has grappled with in the past and of which he has forewarned the relevant authorities

The alarming rise in such incidents prompts concerns about the state’s ability to safeguard its weapons and, paradoxically, the simultaneous attempts to disarm law-abiding citizens. As poorly trained and corrupt police officials collaborate with criminals, a lawless society is emerging, paving the way for vigilante justice.

PROJECT: EMPLOYMENT SCAMS TO LAUNDER MONEY

WARNING TO THE

PUBLIC!

There has been an increase in the number of instances where employment is being used as a means for carrying out money laundering activities. In these instances, the scammers do not ask for payments from their victims but they use their victim’s bank accounts to launder their ill-gotten gains from other scams.

Scammers are realising that they cannot open bank accounts as easily as before and have, therefore, been enterprising enough to convince unsuspecting victims to do this for them

If you encounter a potential employment scam, it’s crucial to report it to relevant authorities and warn others.

Most people are law-abiding citizens and will adhere to a traffic officer stopping them for a justified traffic violation. However, the South African traffic departments are renowned for their requests for bribes – this has an extremely negative effect on our country’s drivers as it results in fear, extortion and trauma for many.

Recent incidents reported by News24 have drawn attention to the concerning trend of traffic officers soliciting bribes rather than fulfilling their duties.

In a notable case, a traffic officer was fined a significant R60,000 for demanding bribes from drivers, underscoring the seriousness of corruption within law enforcement.

Understanding what to do and what not to do in such situations is crucial.

PROJECT: THE DANGERS OF FAKE FIREARMS AND THE LAW

WARNING TO PUBLIC!

In South Africa, obtaining a firearms license can be a complicated and lengthy process, which drives some individuals to seek alternative methods of self-defence. One such method is to use fake pistols that shoot blanks or small pellets with realistic gun sounds. While these items may appear to be a quick and easy solution to personal safety concerns, they pose a significant risk to both the users and the public.

It is important to remember that the act of self-defence also needs to be reasonable. This is the most important underlying principle to keep in mind when in a position where you are forced to use self-defence.

PROJECT: STOLEN VEHICLES GIVE INSIGHT INTO THE WORLD OF VEHICLE HIJACKING SYNDICATES

WARNING TO PUBLIC!

Stolen vehicles found fitted with a fake licence disc and fake number plates have offered a glimpse into the manner in which hijacking syndicates operate and how easily they are able to get away with crimes because of technological advancements.

Technology allows syndicates to continue to stay one step ahead of the police. As soon as a new safety measure is implemented, criminals are able to work around it.

Like similar criminal organisations worldwide, vehicle hijacking syndicates in South Africa employ various strategies and tactics to steal vehicles and evade law enforcement. The Western Cape and Gauteng regions recorded the largest number of carjackings.

By taking a comprehensive and proactive approach, construction companies
can reduce their vulnerability to construction mafias and create a safer working environment for their projects.

In South Africa, as in many parts of the world, we often hear stories of hope, ambition, and aspirations for a better future.

For countless individuals, the dream of financial security is a powerful motivator, particularly in a nation where unemployment remains a pervasive challenge. It is in these dreams that opportunistic criminals find fertile ground to sow their seeds of deception.

We are committed to unmasking the perpetrators behind these schemes and bringing them to justice.

We are aware of the other Ponzi scams currently running in South Africa, and we are determined to put an end to this cycle of deception.

We urge you, the public, to come forward and assist us in this endeavour.

PROJECT: SEXUAL OFFENCES, CHILDREN AND THE LAW

IMPORTANT TO

PUBLIC!

In South Africa, the legal framework concerning sexual offences, children, and the law is designed to protect the rights and well-being of minors and hold perpetrators accountable.

A unique aspect of this framework is the concept of “consent age” and the recognition of “statutory rape” in the context of consensual sexual activity involving minors

It is important to note that statutory rape laws can vary by jurisdiction within South Africa, and legal details may evolve over time.

If you have concerns or questions about a specific case or situation involving statutory rape, it is advisable to consult with a legal professional who is well-versed in South African criminal law to provide guidance and advice tailored to the particular circumstances.

The age of consent is critical in South Africans’ shared commitment to fostering a safe and nurturing environment for our future generations.

PROJECT: THE UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM AND AMMUNITION

IMPORTANT TO

PUBLIC!

Femicide and the unlawful possession of firearms are significant and interconnected issues in South Africa. Femicide refers to the intentional killing of women or girls because of their gender, and it is a severe form of gender-based violence. Unlawful possession of firearms contributes to the perpetration of violent crimes, including femicide.

Guns play a significant role in violence against women in South Africa, most notably in the killing of intimate partners. Statistics show that 80% of femicide victims attacked by their partner were killed by a firearm injury, mostly from a single gunshot to the head or face

SSS has dealt with many aspects of GBV and Femicide, as well as the possession of stolen or illegal firearms. It is also, therefore, important to look at the unlawful possession of a firearm – even if seemingly innocent, such as the inheritance
of a firearm.

Although his health has diminished and
he does not have the financial clout and influence he previously had, he remains a danger to the public. He will continue to defraud, steal, and swindle people from their life savings, pensions, businesses and properties, resulting in suicides and penniless victims, even when he is not in South Africa.

Richard Barry Nel will always remain a racketeer, fugitive, thief, fraudster, intimidator, escapee, forger, manipulator and incestophile. He deserves only contempt, to face the full force of the law and to be convicted without any form of extenuating circumstances.

PROJECT: THE LINK BETWEEN MOBILE BANKING APPS' FACIAL RECOGNITION AND KIDNAPPINGS IN SOUTH AFRICA

IMPORTANT TO

PUBLIC!

Is there a connection between mobile banking apps’ facial recognition and kidnappings in South Africa?

A very large percentage of these kidnappings were committed for financial gain.

Over the past 36 months, kidnappings in South Africa have increased
by more than 100% over
every 3- to 6-month period

Throughout the rest of 2021,
the security of the banking apps increased and facial verification for larger payments started becoming the norm.

PROJECT: CHILD ABUSE AND THE LAW

IMPORTANT TO

PUBLIC!

According to studies, more than 40 % of all young people in South Africa have been victims of abuse of some kind during a stage of their lives. According to the latest crime statistics, 319 children were murdered in South Africa between October 2022 and December 2022, while a further 2039 were victims of physical assault. Most of these children were harmed by people who were known to them and were supposed to protect them.

South Africa has excellent laws and initiatives to prevent violence against children. However, without enforcement, these laws and policies are worthless. The abuse of children has a devastating impact on the abused children and on society.

Additionally, in Africa, pangolins are sold as bushmeat for ritual or spiritual purposes and used in traditional African medicine.

Let us stand together to make the community aware of the abuse of the elderly and how to combat it.

In recent years, the theft of solar panels in South Africa has surged to alarming levels, posing a significant challenge to the renewable energy sector and sustainable development.

Solar panels play a crucial role in harnessing clean and renewable energy, contributing to a greener future and reduced carbon emissions. Needless to say, the ever-increasing levels of loadshedding has led the public to invest in these expensive alternatives.

However, the escalating theft of solar panels threatens to undermine the progress made in sustainable and renewable energy adoption.

It is also important for women, especially mothers, to know their rights regarding maintenance payable by the fathers of their children. The following project focuses on this specific aspect and the laws regulating the payment of maintenance

During Women’s Month, we urge all mothers who are battling to maintain their children on their own because of ex-partners defaulting on court orders –
to seek help as the Maintenance Act protects you and is there to assist you.

It is important to reclaim your power and not to be lied to or manipulated by a partner who is not willing to pay his dues.

This despicable crime has plagued innocent members of the public for over a decade, with criminals posing as SAPS officials who intimidate, manipulate, and extort large sums of money.

IMPORTANT INTENSIFICATION AND EXPANSION OF THIS CRIME (PART 1)

During our extensive investigations in the past few years with regard to the extreme escalation of extortion and sextortion by SAPS impersonators and corrupt SAPS officials, we can confirm as a fact that these types of incidents are manipulated by syndicates in the South African Prison System

The latest shocking information we have identified – concerning these extortionists/sextortionists, is that they are released at night and work from outside the prisons at night.

The corruption of our prison system has escalated to such a level that these cybercrime criminals can bribe and influence their way out of prison at night and back into prison during the day!

With reference to our initial project, SSS is committed to our endeavours to have this couple face detention and prosecution.

Many unsuspecting victims are financially ruined by the fraudulent activities of this coupl

Based on the latest information, they acquire vehicles by enticing victims to purchase bank-financed vehicles, which are then leased out to different individuals.

The vehicles are reclaimed after a brief interval, typically around 3 months.

If you have been a victim of a car scam involving the suspects Tyrone and Chanè Venter, forward the following details to our expert specialist investigators.

If you are uncertain about what to do, you can always consult local authorities or wildlife experts for guidance.

Touching a found animal carcass can be a complex decision that depends on several factors, including the context, your intentions, and potential risk

Please call the authorities in your immediate area.

PROJECT: GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE WOMEN'S MONTH AUGUST 2023 (PART 2)

As children, we were taught to protect ourselves from strangers, observe our surroundings, and lock up behind us. The constant reminders from our parents about“stranger danger” embedded in us
the idea that we are safe with the people in our inner circle

Unfortunately, statistics paint a much grimmer picture, and the scale tips much more heavily towards the side of violence committed by people known to the victim.

A recent study showed that 76% of female murders were perpetrated by someone known to the victim. About 16% of female murder victims were killed by a nonintimate family member – parent, grandparent, sibling, in-law, and other family member.

PROJECT: PARANOIA IN CYBERCRIME INVESTIGATIONS

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC!

There is a fine line that must be navigated by every SSS specialist investigator who investigates paranoia in cybercrime cases. They need to differentiate between reality and the possible mental aspects from which the clients suffer.

In the age of rapid technological advancements, the threat of cybercrime has become an ever-present concern. While vigilance is essential, a line exists between reasonable caution and paranoia

Some individuals, particularly those struggling with cognitive challenges like dementia, may experience heightened fears of cyber threats that manifest as seeing non-existent dangers, hearing imaginary voices, or harbouring unfounded suspicions of government surveillance akin to “big brother.”
