Kenhardt, geleë 120 km van Upington in Suid-Afrika se Noord-Kaap, toon veerkragtigheid te midde van formidabele omgewingsuitdagings.
Die dorp se boere worstel met aanhoudende droogte en versengende temperature wat naby 40°C is.
Waterskaarste, versterk die stryd om oorlewing, wat aanpasbaarheid nie net 'n keuse maak nie, maar 'n noodsaaklike element van die lewe.
Dit is na aanleiding van hierdie verwoestende droogtes wat mnr. Riaan "Bossie" Boshoff en sy span, 'n deurslaggewende oplossing te weeg gebring het en binne 48 uur voer vir die skape ingesamel het en begin aanry het.
LUISTER NA HIERDIE PLEIDOOI VAN MNR. RIAAN BOSHOFF:
Mnr. Riaan Boshoff het daadwerklik ingetree en binne 48 uur het hy 3 trokke gereël, 6 vragte skenkings van voer ontvang en die hulpbehoewende boere begin help.
Hy het ‘n uitgebreide netwerk van borge en vrywilligers, wie al ‘n geruime tyd die pad saam met hom stap.
Mnr. Bolhuis is trots om as beskermheer van hierdie welwillendheidstaak en missie op te tree.
In die Kenhardt-distrik is daar omtrent 150 gevestigde boere.
Tans is daar 43 boere wat op die noodlys is maar hierdie lys word by die dag langer.
Hierdie 43 boere, het +/- 40,000 skape wat dringend voer benodig.
Daar is ook 'n behoefte aan voer vir beeste.
Skenkings van voer is ontvang vanuit alle oorde, onder andere:

Hierdie insameling om die vee van die Kenhardt-boere te red, is noemenswaardig en enige en alle hulp sal hoog op prys gestel word.
