A Judas Goat Leading You to Financial Loss.
The Cybercrime Task Team of Specialised Security Services, spearheaded by Mr. Mike Bolhuis,
is issuing an urgent warning about a fraudulent investment scheme operating under the name Licit-Global.
This scam uses deceptive tactics to lure victims with promises of fast, high returns, leading them to significant financial losses.
Drawing a parallel to the "Judas goat", this scheme gains your trust and then misleads you into a financial trap.
The Judas goat, used in livestock management, leads herds to slaughter while remaining unharmed.
Similarly, the operators of Licit-Global profit at your expense, leaving you and other victims to face the consequences.
DEFINITION OF A PONZI SCHEME:
A Ponzi scheme is an investment fraud that pays existing investors with funds collected from new investors.
Ponzi scheme organisers often promise to invest your money and generate high returns with little or no risk.
But in many Ponzi schemes, the fraudsters do not invest the money.
The scheme is unsustainable and will eventually collapse.
MODUS OPERANDI:
The scammers present an attractive array of investment plans, offering guaranteed profits within a few days:
Plan 1: Mature in 24 hours with your profit.
Plan 2: Mature in 48 hours with your profit.
Plan 3: Mature in 72 hours with your profit.
Plan 4: Mature in 96 hours with your profit.
Plan 5: Mature in 120 hours with your profit.
These "investment plans" are false promises designed to entice victims to deposit money.
Early participants might receive small payouts, furthering the illusion of legitimacy.
However, the scheme collapses once the scammers have collected enough money, leaving the majority of victims with nothing.
