NIKKI MENTZ
A confidence trickster, often referred to as a "con artist," is an individual who gains the trust of others through manipulation and deceit, exploiting their victims for personal gain. This exploitation can take many forms, but it typically involves financial manipulation and emotional abuse, leaving victims in distress and, in many cases, significant financial hardship.
Specialised Security Services issues a stern warning to the public regarding a confidence trickster, Ms. Nikki Mentz.
Her modus operandi exemplifies the tactics commonly used by con artists to prey on unsuspecting individuals,
including close friends and family members. By emotionally manipulating her victims, she gains their trust and gradually infiltrates their personal lives. Once she has established this trust, she exploits it for financial benefit, often taking complete control over her victims' homes, finances, and private affairs.

MODUS OPERANDI:
Specialised Security Services issues a stern warning to the public regarding a confidence trickster, Ms. Nikki Mentz.
Her modus operandi exemplifies the tactics commonly used by con artists to prey on unsuspecting individuals, including close friends and family members.
She skillfully exploits emotions to create a false sense of trust and gradually embeds herself into the lives of her victims.
Once she has established a strong influence over them, she leverages this position to access their assets, financial resources, and personal affairs for her own gain.
Ms. Mentz's modus operandi also involves taking items she has stolen to various pawn shops, such as Cash Crusaders and Cash Converters, to obtain loans without intending to repay them.
She is known for dressing well and creating the false impression of being an honest, law-abiding citizen, which aids her in deceiving her victims.
Her criminal behaviour extends to local businesses.
In one instance, she coloured her hair and took hair products worth R3,470.00 from "Carla & Coir Hair and Beauty."
When it came time to pay, her bank card "did not work," she promised to make an EFT, which never materialised, leaving the small business owner without payment.
Specialised Security Services (SSS) is committed to exposing and dismantling Ms. Mentz's criminal network to ensure justice for her victims.
SSS has successfully recovered stolen goods valued at R245,000.00 for one of their clients and continues to pursue justice in ongoing investigations.
Ms. Mentz is currently on the run from the law and in hiding.
A theft and fraud case has been opened against her at Krugersdorp SAPS under CAS 350/12/2024.
This ongoing investigation forms part of a broader legal and criminal challenge, as other cases have been opened against her, including:
Parkview SAPS CAS 33/08/2017 - Assault (Withdrawn).
Chrystalpark SAPS CAS 257/09/2024 - Theft (Guilty with 1 year imprisonment).
Parkview SAPS CAS 37/04/2024 - Assault (Ongoing).

Exercise caution when someone you know begins to involve themselves deeply in your personal affairs, especially if they request financial assistance or access to your home or assets.
VERIFY THEIR CLAIMS:
Always cross-check the information provided by someone who seems overly interested in your financial or personal matters.
Look out for inconsistencies or signs of dishonesty.
SET BOUNDARIES:
Be firm in maintaining personal and financial boundaries.
Do not feel obligated to share personal details or provide financial help unless you are absolutely certain of the individual's intentions.
SEEK SUPPORT:
If you suspect someone is attempting to manipulate you, consult trusted friends, family members, or professional advisors for advice.
REPORT SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY:
If you believe you or someone you know is being targeted by a confidence trickster, report the matter to the authorities or professional security services for intervention.
