Specialised Security Services (SSS) has been officially mandated to represent the Justice for Leo public action initiative.
We have been appointed to support the authorities and the SPCA following the brutal killing of Leo.
Two perpetrators have been arrested and are scheduled to appear in the Odendaalsrus Magistrate Court today,
Monday, 9 September 2024.
It is crucial that only verified information is shared, and we are committed to maintaining
the integrity of this process by strictly avoiding speculation, rumours, and unverified statements.
This tragic event is not an isolated case; many similar incidents go unreported.
We are dedicated to ensuring that the people of South Africa know that we care deeply for animals.
We are resolute in our mission to stand up for animals, advocating and acting on their behalf to ensure justice is served.
SSS is engaging in this initiative for two primary reasons:
To inform the public of the facts surrounding the incident involving Leo, ensuring South Africa is aware of what transpired.
To assist the involved authorities in navigating the upcoming bail application and court proceedings, ensuring all shared information is accurate and factual, avoiding any reliance on assumptions or hearsay.

THE PERPETRATORS: PASTOR ANDRIES JEREMIAH LABUSCHAGNÉ AND HIS WIFE, REINETTE LABUSCHAGNÉ
On 3 September 2024, Pastor Andries Jeremiah Labuschagné brutally strangled and then repeatedly stabbed Leo, a bull terrier, in a shocking act of violence.
His wife, Reinette Labuschagné, actively participated by providing him with multiple knives during the attack.
Following their arrest, both individuals have been held in custody and are set to apply for bail in the Odendaalsrus Magistrate Court today, 9 September 2024.
