PROJECT: RACKETEERING - MR LOUIS LIEBENBERG (PART 5)

"FAKE IT UNTIL YOU MAKE IT".

THE VOICE RECORDING DESCRIBING THE "PAKKIES":

  • Specialised Security Services is in possession of a voice recording where Mr Liebenberg’s son-in-law can be heard describing how Mr Liebenberg’s diamond business model works.

  • Mr Liebenberg can be heard in the background of the voice recording.

  • In the voice recording Mr Liebenberg's son-in-law can be heard telling another man:

“The “pakkies” are wind, it is a ‘fake it until you make it’ kind of business.

Remember that we could not finance everything for the mine from the bank, we could not do that.

So, we kept selling “pakkies” and let people buy into a dream. From the money received for “pakkies” we

finance equipment and everything else for the business, and we pay out some of the “pakkie” money back

to the people who purchased, but not all of it because we need to finance our operations.

The “pakkie” business has a lifespan, for as long as the people keep buying in, it will continue, but not permanently,

eventually we will have to use the profits from the mine to catch up and replace the money we took from the “pakkies”.

  • He continued by saying:

“If I come to you and I give you money and you promise me a 50% profit in 4 months,

that gives you 4 months to “fake it until you make it”.

So, Louis faked it, and he is not ashamed to admit it.

The problem is that when I give you R100, and you give me R200 in return,

there needs to be a paper trail, a product needs to exist. The problem is that no product exists,

it was all just cash going back and forth, no accountant would have signed off on it, in fact,

if you were to audit Tariomix or Forever Zircon now, I would not be able to supply you

with a paper trail, because it does not exist.

To start this business cost a lot of money, Louis could not loan the money because he has nothing,

so he created the “investor” scheme and promised the people returns on their investments,

and he promised to change their lives, so, yes he used the one person’s money to pay the next person,

in the process he bought a mine, but now the problem is that he needs to catch up

the money that was spent from the “pakkies”.

But remember that people were told to only give 10% of their money, so only the money they would have given to the church,

they were supposed to give to Louis, so those who got greedy and lost all their money, it is their problem.

Louis wants to list the company with the JSE, but not the pakkies, just the mine, the problem however is that by doing so,

he will lose control of the business. So, I suggested we keep the company private and maintain control,

but first we need to catch up the back log of the money we took from the “pakkies”, then Louis will be safe.

The traditional way, Louis would not have been able to do it, but this way, it is like being only a little bit naughty.

Let’s say I take R200 from your wallet when you aren’t looking, but I know that I will take the R200 and

go make R400 at the casino, so I will give your money back, and I will use the rest to buy a mine,

it is basically the same. A lot of the money that came in from “pakkies” went to pay back other “pakkie” holders,

but a lot was also used to buy the mine. So now I have a paper trail and it makes it easier for an accountant,

but there still is not a paper trail for all of it, and that is a problem.

Louis has a dream, but he is not a good manager,

and he is not good with money.

This weekend’s budget was R60 000, it ended up at R420 000,

Sun City ended up costing R1.3 million.

But still, I believe in the mission and in his dream,

we will just have to see”.

LISTEN TO THE RECORDING HERE:

THE THREATS OF HARM AND DEATH:

  • Mr Liebenberg has become quite renowned for his outbursts of anger during live video broadcasts.

  • On several occasions, Mr Liebenberg can be heard making threats that he will shoot the liquidators if they set foot on his property.

  • Mr Liebenberg has also threatened to send a team to “take out” his brother.

  • The same threats have been made on several occasions, aimed at several individuals.

  • In a recording of a phone call between Mr Liebenberg and his attorney, Mr Liebenberg could be heard yelling:

  • “you have millions of Rand of mine in your bank, Walter. I am paying you to make something happen, make it happen, or I will deal with it my way, and people will be hurt!”

  • Mr Liebenberg has also exclaimed on several occasions that people in “enemy groups” who damage his business with their publications will be shot if he finds them.

  • In a publication made on his Facebook group, Mr Liebenberg stated that Mr Hein Jooste, Mr Jacques du Preez and Mr Mike Bolhuis are wanted “dead or alive”, and he offers a reward for each.

  • The publication is presented as a joke, but judging from Mr. Liebenberg’s past outbursts, one must keep in mind that many a word of truth is spoken in jest.

  • The joke is malevolent.

THE BLOCKING OF MEMBERS WITH QUESTIONS:

  • Mr Liebenberg has highlighted on several occasions that he will not tolerate members of his group who ask ‘difficult’ questions.

  • This is concerning because individuals who invest money in his business, in his own words, “carry the risk with him, therefore making them partners”, yet he does not entertain feedback from his partners; he does not allow them to express their opinions.

  • He does not allow them to ask questions that are difficult to answer.

  • Therefore the “partner” business model does not hold up. If a member purchases a “pakkie”, Mr Liebenberg is more than happy to embrace him as a partner, but the moment the transaction is processed, Mr Liebenberg resorts to threats and intimidation to keep the partner in line for fear of losing their investment.

CLICK TO SEE AN EXAMPLE OF THE INTIMIDATION TACTICS USED BY MR LIEBENBERG:

"PAKKIES" ARE ONLY FUNDING MR LIEBENBERG'S BUSINESS ENTERPRISE:

  • It is clear from the voice recording that Mr Liebenberg does not plan to continue the “pakkie” business, he plans to build mines and earn an income for only himself.

  • Once all the “pakkies” have been paid out, Mr Liebenberg will have purchased mines, businesses and equipment, but the “investors” will have received only the profits from the “pakkies”.

  • They will then be cut out of the business model.

  • Hence, they were funding the start of Mr Liebenberg’s business – this was NOT an investment.

SHARED LIABILITY:

  • With Mr Liebenberg’s businesses being in liquidation, the investors or “partners” who joined Mr Liebenberg will now share the liability to pay creditors.

  • Thus, all money paid out to the “partners” will, at some point, have to be returned to the liquidators.

  • The same rule applies to those who assist Mr Liebenberg in recruiting new “partners”.

  • Involving yourself in Mr Liebenberg’s business by assisting him in persuading the public to purchase “pakkies” will place you in a position of liability.

  • Thus it is advised that the public do not involve themselves with a business of this nature.

CLICK TO READ AN ARTICLE DETAILING WHAT SHARED LIABILITY IN CRIMINAL ACTIVITY ENTAILS:

RECRUITMENT OF HIGH-PROFILE INDIVIDUALS:

  • Mr Liebenberg has resorted to recruiting individuals with a large following to join his business model.

  • The apparent reason behind this is to ensure that Mr Liebenberg reaches a larger following himself.

  • It is not uncommon for businesses to reach out to influencers on social media when they attempt to target larger audiences.

  • If you are an influencer with a large following, be wary of involving yourself with a business of this nature.

"NO PAKKIE"- NO FUNDING:

  • Mr Liebenberg has been complaining on his Facebook groups about the low number of purchases of “pakkies” by his “partners”.

  • He is attempting to increase the number of new members who join his groups.

  • The reason for this is that new members mean new purchases.

  • It is made clear in the voice recording outlined above that Mr Liebenberg relies on the purchases of “pakkies” to maintain his business model.

  • Mr Liebenberg needs funds to live, to fight court battles, to keep the mines going, and to pay older investors or “partners”.

  • It is clear from the recording that the money Mr Liebenberg receives from new “pakkies” is used to fund all the above.

  • It is also clear from the recording that Mr Liebenberg has no moral or ethical qualms that keep him honest about not spending or “borrowing” money from the “pakkies” to fund his personal needs.

  • As previously stated, he justifies his behaviour by saying: “fake it until you make it”.

  • Under the law, it is clearly stated that money received for a specific purpose must be applied for that specific purpose.

  • If invested money is not used as an investment as intended it is considered fraud, theft and misrepresentation - Mr Liebenberg considers it business!

The law exists to provide all South African citizens with an equal standard of conduct.

The same set of rules that apply to one person applies to all.

Abiding by the law is not a choice or a suggestion; it is compulsory for all citizens.

All businesses and individuals must obey the law and be held accountable

to a moral and ethical standard.

Mr Liebenberg’s

“Fake it until you make it”

point of view does not exempt him from the law.

It does not make him a bold or courageous businessman –

it makes him someone who is proud to announce publicly that he does

not think that the law applies to him.

His standard is not acceptable.

We warn the public not to involve themselves in business with Mr Liebenberg.

CLICK TO VIEW AN EXAMPLE OF JUST HOW DESPERATE MR LIEBENBERG IS TO KEEP THE MONEY FLOWING IN:

Based on all the above, it is clear that Mr Liebenberg is desperate to maintain his income stream,

not for the benefit of the “partners” who buy into the “dream”. Rather to fund his own lifestyle,

to pay for the legal fees of countless court cases which he has lost, and to settle his debts.

Mr Liebenberg is taking his desperation out on his “partners” on a daily basis.

He criticizes them, humiliates them, threatens them, and manipulates them.

He will do and say anything to keep the income stream active, as he cannot survive without it.

In the most recent court case against Mr Bolhuis which Mr Liebenberg lost.

Mr Liebenberg lost with legal costs awarded to the defendant.

Interesting topic! The mention of "Racketeering" and Mr. Louis Liebenberg instantly reminded me of how influence and grassroots movements often intertwine—something I recently saw discussed in an article about grassroots sports in Kenya https://tech-ish.com/2024/07/01/revival-grassroots-sports-kenya-2024/, which explored how foundational efforts can lead to major systemic changes. In a similar vein, platforms like 1Win have revolutionized the gambling space with over 20 transparent bonus deals. By offering clear terms and rewards for both gamblers and sports bettors, they’ve created a system that’s as engaging as it is accessible, much like building success from the ground up.
