Specialised Security Services is issuing this public warning to inform you about a troubling case involving a client who suffered significant financial losses due to the actions of Mr Frederick Gerhardus Johannes Kalsen, director of Raptor Dynamic Solar.
SSS confirms that our client is not the only individual financially impacted by Mr Kalsen’s fraudulent activities.
We urge other victims to come forward and file the necessary cases with the SAPS.
This way, we can prevent other innocent people from falling victim to his crimes.

THE CASE:
In March 2023, Mr Kalsen undertook solar installation projects at two sites - one in Gauteng Province and another in KwaZulu-Natal.
Both installations were substandard, causing significant issues for our client.
At the KZN site, our client was advised by a third party to disconnect all the solar panels due to faulty wiring, which posed a serious risk. Furthermore, despite Mr Kalsen's promises, our client never received the solar battery that was part of the installation agreement.
This added to the frustration and financial loss already incurred.
In addition to these issues, our client had to spend R15,000.00 on immediate repairs to the faulty installation.
In an effort to help Mr Kalsen save his business, our client also extended a loan of R334,200.00.
However, despite repeated assurances from Mr Kalsen that he would repay the loan and resolve the installation issues, these promises were not kept.
Instead, our client was left to bear both the financial burden of the loan and the costs of the inadequate installations.
The legal proceedings initiated by our client against Mr Kalsen and Raptor Dynamic Solar underscore the seriousness of this matter.
The case, formally known as the matter between the Plaintiff/Creditor and Raptor Dynamic Solar (Pty) Ltd, represented by Frederick Gerhardus Johannes Kalsen (First Defendant/First Debtor) and Frederick Gerhardus Johannes Kalsen (Second Defendant/Second Debtor), details an acknowledgement of debt signed by Mr Kalsen.
In this acknowledgement, Mr Kalsen, in his capacity as the sole director of Raptor Dynamic (Pty) Ltd and in his personal capacity, confirmed the company's indebtedness to the Plaintiff/Creditor for the amount of R334,200.00.
He undertook to pay this amount in instalments, beginning with a payment of R18,000.00 towards the battery on or before 1 August 2024, followed by monthly instalments of R13,000.00 starting from the same date.
Mr Kalsen has yet to fulfil the agreed-upon payments.
The registered address of Raptor Dynamic (Pty) Ltd is 737B Simpson Road, Woodgrange, Hibberdene, KwaZulu-Natal, with its trading address listed as 136 Rivier Street, Miederpark, Potchefstroom.
Mr Kalsen's last known address in Welkom is Bredenkamp Street, Wesselbron.

However, the pattern of broken promises raises serious concerns about the likelihood of these payments being
made as agreed. Moreover, Mr Kalsen has issued two fake Certificates of Compliance (C.O.C.),
further compounding the gravity of his actions.
This situation is a stark reminder of the importance of due diligence when selecting contractors for critical services
such as solar installations. It is vital to verify the credentials and reliability of service providers to avoid substandard work
and financial misconduct.
