Specialist Cyber Crime investigator Mr JD Pienaar requests information
from anyone who has been scammed, harmed, or extorted by André Venter.
Venter is a person of interest in multiple cases involving rental scams,
identity theft and extortion.
André Venter, born on 18 August 1976,
is the primary suspect in various rental scams, including the
fraudulent renting of properties he does not own.
MODUS OPERANDI:
Operating under aliases like Paul van Deventer, Venter and his known associates and possible accomplices:
Michelle Joubert (1997/11/15),
Lauren Jackson (1983/08/29), and
Piet Niemand,
target unsuspecting victims through social media platforms, particularly "Buy and Sell" Facebook groups.
One of their scams involves misrepresenting properties as available for rent and duping individuals into paying deposits for accommodation that does not exist.
This elaborate scheme has left numerous victims defrauded and seeking justice.
The investigation is ongoing and plans to dismantle the entire syndicate and bring all involved parties to justice.
Venter's criminal activities have caught the attention of law enforcement agencies, resulting in multiple case numbers opened against him:
Middleburg Mpumalanga SAPS cases 11/03/2024 and 206/06/2023.
Polowane SAPS case 181/12/2023.
Lepehalale SAPS case 62/01/2019L
Venter's last known address is 1467 Lynne Ave, Margate, KwaZulu Natal.
He was previously employed at Gas 4 Life.
