Specialised Security Services' Task Team and the SAPS have successfully arrested Wesley Roux within the hour of sending out a wanted project for this man who has been harassing and intimidating the public.
He has been a menace to society and has recently started pointing an AK-47 weapon at victims during arguments. Read our initial project earlier today on our Facebook page or website.
BACKGROUND:
• Wesley Roux, a violent and dangerous criminal, has been on the run for several offenses, including pointing an AK-47 assault rifle.
• His actions have posed a serious threat to public safety.
THE OPERATION AND THE ARREST:
• The SSS Specialist Task Team and Cyber Team together with Seargeant Motau from Garstfontein SAPS worked tirelessly to locate and apprehend Roux.
• Their dedication and strategic planning paid off.
• Today, in a swift and coordinated operation, law enforcement officers cornered Wesley Roux.
• Despite his attempts to evade capture, he was successfully apprehended.
THE CHARGES:
• Roux faces charges related to pointing a firearm, assault, and intimidation.
• His reign of terror has come to an end.
• With Wesley Roux behind bars, the community can breathe a sigh of relief.
• The streets are safer, thanks to the efforts of the dedicated SAPS Officer.
• This successful operation serves as a reminder that justice prevails, and those who threaten our safety will be held accountable.
• Our latest project was sent out, and he was arrested within an hour.
• Our Cyber team, together with the SSS task team, Antoinette Coetser, and Chris Coetser, managed to locate him, after which he was apprehended at 15:45 on Monday 12 Feb 2024.
• The SSS cybercrime team picked up on his electronic footprint – after which he was identified by a member of the SSS task team.
• The authorities were alerted to his whereabouts and arrangements were made for his immediate arrest.
• We also extend our gratitude to Sergeant Motau from Garstfontein SAPS.
• The SSS Specialist Task Team and Cyber Team together with Sergeant Motau from Garstfontein SAPS worked tirelessly to locate and apprehend Roux.
• Their dedication and strategic planning paid off.
We again appeal to members of the public, who have had problems with Wesley Roux to open police cases against him – so that a complete picture of his activities can be presented in court.
We are overjoyed that this dangerous man is in custody – and we trust that he will be charged and processed according to the law.
