Specialised Security Services initially exposed the fraudulent dealings of Mr. Daffue on 23 January 2025,
after which he was promptly arrested on 27 January 2025.

UPDATE ON THE ARREST AND LEGAL PROCEEDINGS OF MR. DAFFUE
Mr. Daffue was apprehended in Garsfontein, Pretoria, and appeared in Hatfield Court.
He was then transferred to George, where he appeared in court on 3 February 2025.
Due to a miscommunication between various government departments, the case against him was provisionally withdrawn, leading to his temporary release.
However, the miscommunication was swiftly addressed, and Mr. Daffue was rearrested after authorities received intelligence that he was travelling by bus from George to Pretoria.
Following his rearrest, he was transferred from George to Somerset West, where additional cases were registered against him. Pending his hearing, he was admitted to Pollsmoor Correctional Facility.
Mr. Daffue was scheduled to appear in Somerset West Court on 6 February 2025.
The Public Prosecutor and the SAPS strongly opposed any bail application.
Bail was denied and the case has been adjourned for trial.
