On 10 July 2024,
Specialised Security Services sent out a project in which we notified the public that
Mr Rudie Lubbe and Mrs Chantelle Oosthuizen were wanted by the South African Police Service
on charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

Specialised Security Services were appointed by the family of Mr Freitag to investigate
the circumstances surrounding the case, we were also appointed to manage all media relations.
The media is advised to contact Mr Mike Bolhuis
directly with any enquiries.
The Specialised Security Services task team is working in support of the South African Police Service
with the unified goal of solving the case successfully.
The Freitag family is currently in the process of starting a foundation in memory of Mr Jacques Freitag.
The aim of the foundation will be to support athletes who struggle with addiction and career management.
Specialised Security Services is overseeing
the set-up process of the foundation.
THE CASE:
Mr Jacques Freitag’s body was found on 1 July 2024 in the vicinity of Zandfontein cemetery, located in the Andeon area under the Hercules policing jurisdiction.
Before his body was discovered, Mr Freitag was last seen alive by his family on 17 June 2024.
On 16 July at about 10h00, Mr Rudie Lubbe and Mrs Chantelle Oosthuizen were arrested by the South African Police Service in Sabie, in connection with the murder.
Mr Mike Bolhuis appointed a Specialist Task Team to spearhead this investigation.
