Mr Mike Bolhuis, renowned for his fight against GBV and serious violent crimes against the elderly,
women and children, is proud of our affiliation with Gosa Girls on Fire.
Mr Bolhuis has been invited as the Master of Ceremonies for their prestigious Gala Event,
which will be held at “The Circ” in Cresta Shopping Centre on 1 September 2024.
The Gala Event follows the prestigious Top Shot Full Day Event that will take place at the
Cecil Payne Shooting Range in Roodepoort.
GIRLS ON FIRE TOP SHOT:
The annual GOSA Girls On Fire TOP SHOT event has around 150 lady participants, 50 female range officers, attendees, and female volunteers who, like our following of more than 150,000 people, are all highly engaged and passionate about empowerment.
Thus, this event is incredible for reaching their target market and demonstrating support for South African women's empowerment.
During this event, women shoot nine different sporting disciplines in three classes:
Amateur (never shot before),
Semi-Amateur (some experience or previous exposure), and
Pro (sport shooters, etc.), with firearms as small as a .22LR calibre and "50-cal" considered a favourite.
THE CHRISTA SWART FIGHTING SPIRIT AWARD:
The Christa Swart Fighting Spirit Award has been awarded for the past four years.
The award was implemented to recognise otherwise ordinary women who step up when life throws them a curveball.
We celebrate one woman's triumph over adversity to show other women what can be done.
This encouragement gives women the fortitude to make a heroic effort when called upon.
"Girls on Fire" is about empowering women emotionally, mentally, physically and providing an alternative to victimhood.
This initiative is firstly about instilling situational awareness in women (the first line of defence),
and about legal ways to defend themselves, their children, and their families against crime.
